Installation – Top

a) Through Dashboard

Log in to the WordPress Dashboard.
Go to Appearance->Themes.
Click on Install Themes.
Click on Upload
Browse the zip file of Reznor
Then Click on Install Now to install the theme.

b) Manual Installation using FTP

Download the Reznor from your download link
Unzip Reznor.zip to your Desktop.
Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/
Upload Reznor theme to /wp-content/themes/.
Go to Appearance->Themes and activate Reznor theme from Dashboard.

Reznor supports custom menu and you can set it by using the following steps.

Go to Appearance->Menus.
Give your menu a name and build as you require.
You can add pages, categories or custom URL’s.
Now simply select the theme location(Primary Menu in our case) for your newly created menus using a widget on the left. Afterwards, click Save.

Sidebars and widgets – Top

After installing the theme, your sidebars will be empty or have default widgets. These can be populated using the following steps:

Go to Appearance > Widgets.
You can drag and drop widgets in each of the positions.
See Widget Help for more information.

Note: This theme has some extra widget areas in the footer and the left-sidebar templates. These can be populated using the same steps as above.

Reznor supports Custom Header Feature.

Go to Appearance->Header.
Browse image from your computer and upload the image. Look at Recommended Image Sizes below for more details.
Crop the Image to suit.
Click on Crop and Publish.

Your website’s Header Image is now set.

Custom Homepage Layout – Top

The Custom Homepage layout can be set by making a page and selecting “Custom Home Page” from the Template options. You can then set this as your homepage in Settings > Reading.

– For the Revolution Slider to appear in the theme header you must firstly install the plugin that is in your theme download folder. Information on how to set up a Revolution Slider can be found here

Once you have set up a Revolution Slider go to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Slider and select the Revolution Slider option from the dropdown. Then enter the name of your slider into the Revolution Slider Slug field.

– For the Flexslider to appear in the theme header a post category called “Featured” and with the slug “featured” will have to be added to your post categories.

– The slider will pick up the latest 6 posts from this category and the image if you have set a featured image. Look at Recommended Image Sizes below for more details. The slider will appear on a static homepage.

Once you have set up your Flexslider Slider go to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Slider and select the FlexSlider option from the dropdown.

– The 3 feature boxes (below slider) can be edited in Appearance > Customize > Feature Text Boxes. (More information in Customizer section below)

– The Homepage Promotion Bar (below feature boxes) can be edited in Appearance > Customize > Homepage Promotion Bar (More information in Customizer section below)

– Recent Posts. The latest 6 posts are picked up and displayed under the recent posts section.

– Testimonials are entered in Admin > Testimonials. The Custom Homepage will display a rotation of the latest Testimonial added. The parallax testimonials background can be changed in Appearance > Customize > Testimonial Background. (More information in Customizer section below)

– Partner logos can be added in Appearance > Customize > Company Logos (More information in Customizer section below)

Customizer Options – Top

You can set various options through the wordpress admin customizer options. Appearance > Customize

Logo Upload
– Drop a file into the box or click “select a file” and browse to the image want to use as your logo. A preview of your logo will appear on the web page. Click save when happy.

Site Title and Tagline
– If you are not using a logo you can have your site title and tagline appear instead by filling in these fields.

Top Bar Contact Details – enter your telephone number and email address in the appropriate fields and they will appear at the top left of the theme

Typography – select from hundreds of google fonts to appear in headers, titles and the main body of the theme.

Social Media – enter the full url of your social media pages in the appropriate fields and they will appear in the top right area of the theme

Colors
– Use the color picker to set the color of your site title and overall theme highlight colors. Click on your preferred color scheme for a live preview and save when happy.

Header Image
– Upload an image to appear in the header area of your website.

Navigation
– Select from any custom menus you have created.

Static Front Page
– Select between using a static page or latest blog page to appear as your homepage

Custom Homepage Settings:

Homepage Slider
– Select either the Revolution Slider or FlexSlider to appear in your homepage. If you are using the Revolution Slider, add the name of your saved slider in the Revolution Slider Slug field.

Feature text boxes
– Upload Images, add links and text to each of the 3 feature boxes.

Testimonial Background
– Upload an image to appear as a parallax background for your testimonials in the custom homepage.

Homepage Promotion Bar
– Enter your promotional text here and button url. You can also set a background color, title text color and button color in this area.

Company Logos
– Upload up to 4 logos with url’s in this section. Recommended Image Sizes are below.

Hide / Show elements
– Select which of the above homepage elements you want to appear on your homepage

Footer Widgets
– Select from existing or add new widgets into the theme footer.

Templates – Top

As well as the default and Homepage Layout template detailed above and the default right sidebar layout you also have the option to use further layout options:

Custom Homepage
– The Custom Homepage layout (more details in “Custom Homepage Layout” section above) can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Custom Home Page” from the Template options.

Full-Width
– A full-width layout can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Full Width” from the Template options.

Left Sidebar
– A full-width layout can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Left Sidebar” from the Template options.

Team Page –
A page displaying your websites contributors can be set by making a page and selecting “Display Authors” from the Template options. This will display information from your registered users who are contributors.

Contact Page –
A page displaying a contact form can be set by making a page and selecting “Contact Page” from the Template options.

Full-Width Blog
– A full-width blog layout can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Blog Full Width” from the Template options. For this to appear as your main blog (instead of default blog layout) go to settings > reading and make sure posts page is set as -select-.

Grid Layout Blog
– A grid layout blog can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Blog Grid” from the Template options. For this to appear as your main blog (instead of default blog layout) go to settings > reading and make sure posts page is set as -select-.

Masonry Layout Blog
– A masonry layout blog can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Blog Masonry” from the Template options. For this to appear as your main blog (instead of default blog layout) go to settings > reading and make sure posts page is set as -select-.

Left Sidebar Blog
– A left sidebar layout blog can be set by making or editing a page and selecting “Blog Left Sidebar” from the Template options. For this to appear as your main blog (instead of default blog layout) go to settings > reading and make sure posts page is set as -select-.

Recommended Image Sizes – Top

The following are just size recommendations and there is some flexibility with these sizes.

Logo = 280px width 86px height. The Reznor demo site logo 235px width and 86px height.

Company Logos (Custom Homepage) = 225px width 140px height. The Reznor demo site logos are 225px width and 140px height.

Flex Slider images = at least 2000px width. The Reznor demo site images are 2000px width and 500px height.

Revolution Slider images = please refer to Revolution Slider documentation and support for recommendations. The Reznor demo site images are 1700px width and 500px height.

Header = same as flexslider images.

Custom Homepage feature box icons = The Reznor demo site icons are 36px width and 32px height.
